Apple products have revolutionized computer industry. Nobody can deny that. And the man behind Apple, Steve Jobs will be remembered forever for being such visionary and changing the world we live today. On his one year death anniversary, I would like to share something you might not know.

When iPad was launched, tablets weren’t even a consumer product and so-called tablets in the past used to suck. Launch of iPad by Steve Jobs on March, 2010, it blew everyone’s mind. iPad become one of the fastest selling product ever in computer history. But you might not know, it wasn’t thought of or created in 4-5 years. Steve Jobs envisioned it long back.

In 1983 at Center for Design Innovation, in his speech Steve Job mentioned about it which now is known as iPad. And what’s unique about him is, he didn’t just imagined it or envisioned it in his mind, but created it.

Apple’s strategy is really simple. What we want to do is we want to put an incredibly great computer in a book that you can carry around with you and learn how to use in 20 minutes. That’s what we want to do and we want to do it this decade,” says Jobs. “And we really want to do it with a radio link in it so you don’t have to hook up to anything and you’re in communication with all of these larger databases and other computers.

Here’s the audio of the speech:
