Kukur Tihar, the 2nd day of Nepal’s 5-day festival is going to be celebrated twice this year, making it the first time ever in history such has happened.
Nepal’s population is largely Hindu, and Tihar is Nepal’s 2nd biggest festival. And as per the Hindu religion, dates of every festival is announced by there Hindu priests association considering the position of planets. While this year’s Kukur Tihar (Dog Festival) is announced on the 29th of October by the association; Nepal government has also announced the same dog festival on 2nd of November.
On that day, Nepal government will be welcoming a new breed of dog from India. The government has also planned a special dinner for the guest dog along with ministers and prime minister with some delicious dog food brought all the way from United States.
