Wasn’t that funny when some of us wrote on social networks that iPhone 5 won’t work in Nepal and Nepali media copied that? Hahaa. They are dumb. It’s wasn’t the first time, Nepali media do copy paste such without any research and that’s really funny.
Now coming to the point, YES, iPhone 5 works with charm in Nepal. So, do request your people living abroad to send one. GSM Mobile networks in Nepal (NTC & NCell) uses 900 and 1800 Mhz bands and if you go through the specs of iPhone, it does supports both bands. And about the nano sim, you can cut your regular sim to make a nano one like you did for micro sim.
Here’s the Technical Specs of iPhone 5 from the Apple’s website if you don’t believe me. http://www.apple.com/iphone/specs.html
Hope you all are excited get hands on it.
