When Internet happened, it brought the world together with it’s network. While this network now is more controlled and monitored by government bodies and all, there’s still networks that is within the same network but works bit differently that a hosted websites or email servers. And for various reasons, many around the world like me love it. It’s Peer to Peer network(P2P).
One of the famous P2P client software BitTorrent has now stepped ahead in this P2P game. BitTorrent has recently launched a new service called “BitTorrent Live”, using which users can broadcast live videos. And like any other P2P works, you do not need a server to broadcast, it’ll work via peer to peer networks, exactly like torrents.
Where this might be a game changer for many video broadcasters, it might scare filmmakers and production houses more.
